About Matt
Matthew Raifman was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. His photography journey all started with a digital photography class in 2003. From there, he picked up a camera and didn’t look back. In college, he covered the antiwar movement in 2003 and the 2004 Presidential Primary as a photojournalist for the Tufts Daily. From there, he became passionate about landscape photography and traveled to dozens of National Parks across the U.S. (37 and counting) and international destinations like Iceland, Portugal, Indonesia, and South Africa. Always a naturalist, he took up wildlife photography as a main focus during the pandemic. Over the past four years, he has been documenting and experiencing wildlife through New England.
